Therapy for Families

Family therapy is a method of understanding and treating emotional problems and personal crises by working with the entire family rather than the individual.

Whether you are transitioning to parenthood, dealing with a major life stressor, or need help creating a better work/life balance, therapy can help you to feel more in control and better positioned to manage the demands of family life. Oftentimes, an individual family member may be identified as having the problem, yet it is likely that the entire family system is affected. In exploring the unspoken rules and roles active in your family, we will work together to identify the problematic areas and develop new, more productive ways of relating to one another. While working with families, I focus on creating a safe and therapeutic environment in order to achieve more authentic interactions, growth and healing.

Family Therapy can address:

  • Conflict resolution
  • Parenting issues
  • Blended families
  • Sibling relationships
  • Parent-child interaction
  • Life transitions
  • Family life balance
